This must have been a pretty fancy restaurant and nightclub for a small Pennsylvanian township in the 1940s. The Art Deco cover gives a flavor of the exotic entertainment that was on offer nightly and the menu features imported Russian caviar. Prohibition ended in 1933 and there is an impressive champagne and wine list, as well as all the usual hard liquors. Local industries in that era included tanneries, sawmills, coal and gas mining and the Lackawanna Railroad but we have been unable to find any mention of this once-grand dining establishment on the Drinker Turnpike. Local historical societies โ€“ can you help?
