This menu cover celebrates one of Boston's finest and sadly, long-gone, dining establishments called Pieroni's Sea Grills. Established as a hotel in 1895 by an Italian immigrant family, Pieroni's was famous for its steaks and seafood. Lobster was always on the menu and featured on every menu cover. Customers dined in a magnificent galleried eating hall, fashionable at the time because it was reminiscent of the restaurants on the great ocean liners. Later, the business expanded to include two other branches in Boston.
