Product Description

An early menu from the Birmingham Coffee House Company Ltd in England’s second city. By 1917 coffee houses were booming in England. The Bull Street Café, a Quaker-owned establishment (like another Birmingham based company - Cadbury's) was part of the Temperance movement and hoped to provide alternatives to pubs. The Birmingham Coffee House Company was founded 1877. They also opened the Cobden Hotel on Corporation Street, where House Of Fraser (formerly Rackhams) is now.
