Product Description

This charming map shows the pretty village of Broadway, part of the Cotswolds in England that is famous for its honey-coloured limestone buildings, and its proximity to Shakespeare’s birthplace, many fine castles and palaces and historic cathedrals. Drawn for tourists, it serves as the front cover of a 1962 menu from The Lygon Arms, originally an 16th century coaching inn, and still a popular hotel and restaurant today. The menu includes a dish with Reforme sauce, a classic Victorian recipe made of stock, egg white, gherkins, spices and mushrooms.
